Seniority Date Automatic Adjustment for Rehire cases(Redwood Seniority Dates V3)

Summary:

Hi Everyone,

We are currently looking out for a possible ways for Seniority Date calculations especially in case of Rehires.

For example:

Employee joined on 01-Jan-2005 and as of 31-Jan-2006 Seniority date is 01-Jan-2005 and Seniority is 2Years.

Employee left the organization on 31-Jan-2006 and was rehired on 01-Jan-2008(1year from previous working day). Considering employee has a gap of 1 year in the organization, cumulative calculation is as follows as per the delivered functionality.

  1. The length of service is calculated between the seniority process run date and the hire date (the period between 1-Jan-2005 and 31-Dec-2008 = 4 years).
  2. The duration for which the person wasn't active for the seniority rule is calculated. In this case, it's 1 year or 365 days (the period between 1-Jan-2007 and 31-Dec-2007).
