Request for Real-Time Approver Eligibility Validation During Approval Action in Oracle Fusion

Summary:

We have identified a scenario within Oracle Fusion’s approval workflow for transactions such as change orders and requisitions. Currently, the system determines approver eligibility at the time of workflow routing (Approval Rules based on Position). However, if an approver’s position or delegation changes before they act on a pending approval, the system does not revalidate eligibility at the time the “Approve” button is clicked. This can result in transactions being approved by users who no longer have the necessary authority, which is outside of organizational policy and presents compliance challenges.

We are seeking guidance and potential enhancement to enable real-time validation of approver eligibility at the point of approval action.
