Need to Create a Segment that includes Dynamic results from 2 years back

We have just discovered that in Segments, if you select, for example, Sent Any Email the Last 2 years, the results are only from 1 year back. (see screenshot) According to support this is a "known behavior".

"...In order to return available data beyond the 1 year date interval limitation, a second filter would be required...."

However, we don't want to have to input specific dates into the segment's criteria, we need it to be dynamic. Is there a way to accomplish this dynamically?
