When Setting Optional Flag as Yes during BOM Import, it is erroring out.

Summary:

I am loading BOM data from Oracle E-Business Suite into Oracle Fusion Product Information Management (Fusion PIM).

In EBS R12, we are able to create BOM components with the “Optional” flag set to “Yes” without defining Minimum Quantity and Maximum Quantity. However, when importing the same data into Fusion PIM, the Item Import process fails if the Minimum and Maximum Quantity fields are left blank.

Has anyone faced this issue in Fusion Cloud?

Could you please advise:

  • Is it mandatory in Fusion PIM to define Minimum and Maximum Quantity when the Optional flag is set to “Yes”?
  • Is there any configuration, setup, or workaround that allows Optional components without defining these quantities, similar to EBS R12?
