Assignment title vs. business title when using Oracle directory search

Summary:

Why would business title be different than assignment title when doing a directory search on employees in Oracle Fusion HCM? From previous searches in community, it appears that business title need to be manually updated and not automatically updated. Would this be because some organizations uses business titles and some don't so the business title field is not one that will automatically update?
