Can assignment rule be configured for Multirow attribute group

Summary:

We have a requirement

When the item is created and belongs to a XYZ item class

IN VAT AG> VAT code and Start date should be assigned .

Is this possible?

I have tried with (no luck)

IF

[Item].[Item Basic].[Item Class] == "Food"
