Using "Check Rule Groups" in data mangement for Sign checks

in EPM Platform and Freeform

We are looking at the "Check Rule Groups" to validate that the people who are responsible for the mapping, actually put the right signage. Can this be achieved with this feature? There seems to be very limited amount of documentation online about these Data Management checks.
