Purchase / Sell a kit while storing the components ?

Is there a way to create a kit item to purchase and sell, while storing the components only ?

Here's the detailed use case :

I want to be able to order from my supplier and sell to my customer a kit item (call it KitA), that contains 10xItemsB.
1) I place a purchase order for 1xKitA
2) The PO receipt is done on 10xItemsB (the warehouse operator does not even see the KitA item code)
3) I create a sales order for 1xKitA, warehouse operators see 10xItemsB on the pick slip and those items are picked
