Smart text attributes/fields not appearing as intended

Summary:

Hello Team,

I have been trying to include smart text in my help desk module's notifications but instead of the smart text parameters/attributes only the names of the attributes appear.

Eg:

Hello [[Primary Contact (HR Help Desk Request)]] Your Service Request - [[Request Number (HR Help Desk Request)]] - [[Subject (HR Help Desk Request)]] has been created.
