Requirement to make "Sequence Number" and "Basis" mandatory on Item Structure/BOM

Product/Module: Oracle Fusion Cloud Product Lifecycle Management (Product Development / Product Hub)

Version: 25D (11.13.25.10.0)

Goal: We have a business requirement to ensure that the Sequence Number and Basis attributes are populated for every component added to an Item Structure. Currently, these fields are often left as system defaults or null, and we need to enforce data entry to maintain downstream integration integrity.

I have checked through Manage Structure Component Descriptive Flexfields but this section is for user defined fields, not Oracle built in attributes.

Is it supposed to be configured through Validation Rule instead?

Could the community please provide the recommended approach to make these fields mandatory?
