Separate controls for duplicate validation and formatting validation of tax registration numbers

Description (Required):

The business requires the ability to turn on duplicate validation for supplier's tax registration numbers while turning off formatting validation. The current functionality combines both validations under a single control:

  • Validation Level: determines whether an error will be thrown if EITHER formatting is invalid or a duplication exists
  • Duplicate Validation Level: determines what parties are checked for duplications

If Validation Level is set to "None," regardless of the selection for Duplicate Validation Level, an error will not be thrown for duplicates. If Validation Level is set to "Error" and Duplicate Validation Level is set to "all party types," both duplicate validation and formatting validation are turned on. Therefore, it is currently not possible to turn on duplicate validation while turning off formatting validation.
