System Behaviour Based on Skill Status (Self-Assessed vs Validated) in Grow and Gap Analysis
Hello,
we are currently analyzing the behavior of Oracle Dynamic Skills in relation to the status of a skill (for example: self-assessed, manager validated, endorsed) and its impact on downstream modules.
Specifically, we would like clarification on the following points:
- Does the system treat self-assessed skills differently from validated skills when generating:
- Skill gaps in Talent Profile?
- Career recommendations in Grow?
- Learning recommendations?
- Role match / mobility suggestions?
- Is there any documented logic that explains how the skill status influences:
- Gap calculation?
- Recommendation prioritization?
- Messaging shown in Grow?
- Is the current behaviour expected to change according to the product roadmap?
We reviewed the technical data model (tables such as WLF_TALENT_PROFILE_GAPS and HRT_SKILLS_ASSIGNMENTS), which suggests that the system differentiates skill context and status at database level. However, we couldn't find official documentation explaining the algorithmic behaviour in relation to skill validation state.
