Low value assets migration through FBDI
Summary:
Hello Oracle Experts,
We are converting Fixed Assets from legacy systems to Oracle Cloud Fixed Assets. The client expects “low value assets” to be included in the conversion and handled correctly post-migration.
At the moment, we do not see a way to explicitly identify an asset as a “low value asset” in either:
- the Fixed Assets FBDI templates, or
- the Fixed Assets UI (we do not see a dedicated checkbox/field).
Could you please advise the recommended approach in Oracle Cloud for this requirement?
Specifically:
- In Oracle Cloud Fixed Assets, is “low value asset” a configuration-driven concept (for example, derived from asset book/category/depreciation/tax rules or capitalization threshold), rather than a data flag on the asset record?
