Forced MFA in upcoming Fusion releases, and impact to service accounts

Summary:

We are currently on 25D (with 26A coming this month). We have federated users that we consider "service accounts". When we need to log in the application as these accounts, we have been disabling SSO on the environment in order for these users to log in with their username and password (basic auth).

With the MFA requirements coming, what does this do for this process in the event we want to log in as one of these "service accounts". Will that require us to setup some sort of MFA on these accounts, will we be prompted for MFA when we try to login via basic auth?
