Requirement to Separate Supplier Categories from Purchasing Functional Area
Hi Everyone,
We need to separate Supplier Products and Services Categories from the Internal Purchasing Categories.
Current Issue:
- To include a category in the Supplier Products and Services Hierarchy, it must be assigned to the "Purchasing" Functional Area.
- This causes these "Supplier-only" categories to appear in the Non-Catalog Request search for internal users, which is undesirable.
- Assigning categories to the "Supplier Products and Services" Functional Area instead does not allow them to be added to the hierarchy.
Questions:
- Why does the "Supplier Products and Services" Functional Area not drive the hierarchy setup?
- How can we ensure Suppliers see their specific categories while hiding them from internal Requesters, given the shared dependency on the
