How to restrict Parent Departments from Department LOV

Summary:

Hello Everyone,

When doing a department change in MSS, the manager can select either a department or a department parent, and it is causing significant data issues. Is there a way to restrict the Department LOV to show just Departments (not a Department Parent) while changing Department.

Also, can we display a warning message saying that the selected Department is not valid one if, the Department Parent being selected.
