Local Display Name Not Updating for Existing Persons After Configuration

Hello Experts,

We recently configured a Display Name. The new format is working correctly for newly created workers, but it is not updating the Display Name for existing persons who already have a Display Name value stored. In our case, it should be Preferred Name + Last Name.

It should update the display name for those employees who already have a preferred name.

I ran the Apply Name Formats to Person Names.

I would like to check with the community:
