How to resolve "Federated user cannot do a local authentication" error (2 mins video)

Summary:

This 2-minute video shows how to resolve the "federated user cannot do a local authentication" error when an integration user tries to sign into a Fusion environment after Identity Upgrade. You need to be a tenancy administrator or identity domain administrator of the identity domain of the Fusion environment to perform the fix.

How do I know if our environments will hit this issue?

If your Fusion environments have "chooser page" disabled and the environments are identity upgraded before March, 2026, then all Fusion Applications users are set with Federation = Yes. This means none of the users can use a local login via username / password.

Howdy, Stranger!
