Frequent Restructures Breaking Cost Centers – Oracle Guidance Needed

Summary:

We perform large restructures twice a year plus ad‑hoc changes (400–500 activity codes). Because Cluster = Cost Center in our COA, any cluster move requires a cost center change, which then impacts HCM departments, Payroll costing, open POs/AP/AR/Expenses, and EPM.With open transactions, Oracle cannot update structures quickly, so hierarchies remain out‑of‑date for months and reporting is inaccurate.

We need Product Management guidance on:

1. Is there any delivered method to sync HCM department moves with ERP Cost Centers and EPM hierarchies?
2. What is the recommended pattern for restructures when open transactions prevent COA changes?
3. Should Mapping Sets or Account Aliases be used for mid‑year cost center moves?
