Salesforce (SFDC) Integration – Standalone Oracle CPQ vs Oracle Fusion CPQ

Summary:

We are planning to integrate Salesforce with Oracle CPQ in our new Implementation.

From an architecture perspective, which option should be preferred:

  • Standalone Oracle CPQ (independent instance)
  • Or Oracle Fusion Cloud CPQ

Specifically for Salesforce integration:

  • Which option provides better integration capability (REST APIs, real-time sync)?
  • Are there any limitations with Fusion CPQ when integrating with Salesforce?
  • Is standalone CPQ the recommended approach when Salesforce is the primary CRM?

Note: Here Salesforce is primary CRM instead of Oracle Sales Cloud.

Looking for clear guidance on which CPQ instance is better suited for Salesforce-based architecture.

Howdy, Stranger!
