Journal Approval not working

Summary:

Hello we are facing an issue, where after activating serial type Approval rule in the BPM single type is not working.

I created new rules in Serial type which works fine as per requirement, but the rules which are al ready created in the single type no longer working, every JE gives error:

Issue Description : The request operation failed with the business rules defined for Supervisory_JournalApprovalRuleSet.

Resolution : Validate the BPM rule for Supervisory_JournalApprovalRuleSet and ensure it returns a valid approval hierarchy.


now this Serial type is showing name as Supervisory and it keeps showing error like shown above SS. does anyone have any idea on what could be the reason?
