Why does Work Schedule alignment use the creation date instead of the assignment date? 2x2

Summary:

We are configuring 2x2 rotating Work Schedules (14-day cycle) with day and overnight shifts in Oracle Fusion HCM. Patterns are set correctly and assigned in sequence.

However, the pattern alignment does not follow the assignment start date of the worker. Instead, it appears to depend on the Work Schedule creation date. This causes misalignment in working/rest days unless both dates match.

We expected the cycle to start based on the assignment date, not the creation date.

Is this expected behavior or is there a way to anchor the pattern to the assignment date?
