state paid leave portion (which is the unpaid portion) is being applied to certain balances

Oracle is calculating Medicare and Social Security tax incorrectly for employees who receive Short Term Disability and are located in CO and NY. Employees in CO and NY receive a supplemented rate of STD based on a State Paid Leave. Oracle is calculating taxes based on the employee’s salary time 67%, instead of the gross earnings.
Also we found that after applying USOPTEC, I see a change in how the state paid leave portion (which is the unpaid portion) is being applied to certain balances. Below are my findings:

  1. Federal Taxes & SUI ER
  • Prior to OPTE the amount was added to FIT Exempt, FIT Reduced Subject Withholdable, and FIT Subject Withholdable.

Howdy, Stranger!
