Total only items at lvl0 when working with descendants or children of member

Summary:

I'm building a report that can either use descendants or inclusive children on a dimension. The sum formula at the bottom is including the totals of both the parent and the children. Ideally this report would have two levels of children, but for space just saved the one. Is there a formula that can be used to total only the bottom members of the dimension?

I realize that the easy thing to do looking at the image would be to change the text where it says "Calendar Expense Type" but I have yet to figure out how to assign text to only one line when it is one member seledcted.
