how to configure and use Unit of Measure (UOM) conversions in Oracle Fusion.

Summary:

UOM Conversion Setup for Item with 3 Units (Each, Case, Pallet) and Transaction Usage in Oracle Fusion

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Hi Experts,

I am working on configuring Unit of Measure (UOM) conversions in Oracle Fusion and need guidance on a specific scenario.

Requirement:
I want to create an item and transact it using three different UOMs:

  • Each (Base UOM)
  • Case
  • Pallet

Conversion Details:

  • 1 Case = 12 Each
  • 1 Pallet = 10 Case

My question is :

  1. What is the correct navigation to define these intraclass UOM conversions?
  2. How do I ensure that the derived conversion (Pallet to Each) works correctly?
  3. What configurations are required at the item level (UOM Class, Primary UOM, Secondary UOM, etc.)?
