Request for Native mTLS Implementation – Oracle EPM Forecasting

Context and Motivation

The Oracle EPMForecasting solution is used to support critical planning, forecasting, andfinancial decision‑making processes, involving sensitive, strategic, and insome cases regulated information. In the banking sector, this type ofinformation requires enhanced security controls for integration traffic andsystem‑to‑system communications.

Currently, OracleEPM Cloud uses one‑way TLS, in which only the server is authenticated, as perOracle’s official documentation, with no native support for mutual TLS (mTLS)in platform communications. Although the use of TLS 1.2/1.3 with strong ciphersis a baseline requirement and is already met, this model does not ensureauthentication of the client/consuming application.
