Mid Year USOPTE confusion
Summary:
Can Oracle confirm if the steps below for the mid-year transition to USOPTE are optional or required? Can you please confirm if that is needed for mid-year go-live or if it is optional? Can Oracle clearly mention in the documents whether it is needed or not.
Mid-year specific required actions (on top of the above):
- Washington FMLI overrides — since USOPTE calculates Washington FMLI differently than Vertex, you must override the predefined FLI/MLI value definitions at the US LDG level through year-end. These overrides must be end-dated December 31st of the transition year
- Colorado Employer OPT — if you had your own custom Colorado Employer OPT solution, you must set Employer Occupational Privilege Tax Exemption to prevent double-withholding while USOPTE also calculates it
