Historical Sales Mapping for Item Code Transition (X-series to Y-series)

Our existing sales order history for the past two years is based on an X-series item code structure. We have since transitioned to a new Y-series item code structure. For the last 6 months, sales transactions exist for Y-series (new) item codes. We need to ensure that historical demand is correctly carried over into Oracle Fusion Demand Planning so that forecasting continuity is maintained.
