Unable to correct a hire date: Error relates to PAE card

Summary:

I am trying to correct hire date for an employee who started later than we were told. We get an error 'You can't delete the component detail Pensions Automatic Enrolment because it has the following child component details defined: Pensions Automatic Enrolment Additional Information. (PAY-1636311) Before you can delete the component details, you must delete its child components.'
I am not sure what child component needs deleting.

I have reviewed the PAE record and can see that it started on the original hire date (as expected) Payroll has been processed and there was a PAE process too

I cannot amend the calc card and am going around in circles…
