EPBCS – Clarification on “Validate Metadata” Job Behavior and Data Impact

We are evaluating scheduling the Validate Metadata job on a recurring basis in EPBCS. Please confirm:

• Whether running Validate Metadata can delete, modify, or remove metadata members from any dimensions.
• Whether this job has any impact on existing data, including plan, forecast, or actual data stored in the application.
• Whether it is safe to schedule and run this job daily in a Production EPBCS environment, and if there are any known risks or best‑practice considerations.
• While this functionality has been enabled in FCCS, we would like Oracle’s confirmation on whether it has any direct or indirect impact on EPBCS or any cubes associated with the EPBCS application
