Serial Number line in Asset needs to be added to line under "assignments" , not under as a dropdown

Currently, in the Fixed Asset Module, the serial number is only available as a dropdown selection and cannot be assigned at the line level within the "assignments" section. This limitation restricts functionality and flexibility for asset management.

Our client requires the serial number line to be added directly under the "assignments" section at the line level, rather than being limited to a dropdown. This change would streamline asset assignment processes and improve accuracy.

From our investigation, this functionality is not supported by the current system. We seek Oracle's confirmation on whether there is any existing option or alternative method to achieve this requirement, or if it would require a system enhancement.
