Clarification Needed: Does Workforce Scheduling Consume Enhanced Dynamic Skills Today?

Hi Dynamic Skills team,

We're looking for clarity on the current state and intended relationship between Dynamic Skills (specifically Enhanced Dynamic Skills) and Workforce Scheduling, as well as how customers should think about skill visibility and governance in this space.

Our current understanding is:

  • Oracle Workforce Scheduling today uses the legacy skills/competencies content items (the older skills model), not Dynamic Skills or Enhanced Dynamic Skills.
  • There is no delivered functionality that allows Workforce Scheduling to natively consume Dynamic Skills (or proficiency levels) when defining requirements or assigning workers to shifts.
  • Because of this, we are currently using a competencies template to support Workforce Scheduling, even though we are not using competencies anywhere else in our talent processes.
