Summary:

Employees Editing Maternity Absences Causing Payroll Issues

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

We have several Issues with Employees Editing Maternity Absences that causes Payroll Issues - We are thinking of replacing with a DOR

Employees editing their dates after the maternity absence has commenced - this takes the maternity absence out of the “in progress” status and puts it back to “awaiting approval” and reverts the employee to normal pay, until such time as the manager approves the new absence details.  This is by far the biggest overpayment impact as employees and managers tend not to adhere to payroll deadlines when making these type of amendments and the system will then retro and want to pay them back money it thinks it owes them, only to retro again once the manager approves it for the next pay.  This is obviously significant for Teachers
