How to create cycle counts tasks based on the value and velocity of an item

Summary:

To optimize our inventory management and ensure data accuracy, we require a sophisticated cycle counting functionality within our existing Warehouse Management System (WMS). Our primary objective is to generate cycle count tasks that are driven by item velocity and transactional volume, rather than solely by static item quantity or fixed ABC classifications.

Specifically, we are looking for the ability to:

1. Prioritize High-Value Items based on Dynamic Metrics: We need to identify and prioritize cycle counts for a defined list of high-value items. The prioritization logic should incorporate two key dynamic metrics:

• Number of Touches (Velocity): This refers to the frequency with which an item is picked, moved, or otherwise transacted within a specified period (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly). Items with higher touch counts indicate greater activity and a higher potential for inventory discrepancies.
