Constrained Supply Plan – Unexpected Delay in Suggested Start Date

Summary:

We have enabled Constrained Planning in the Supply Plan.

For item 1002923, all required components are available on hand, and resource capacity also appears to be sufficient. However, the suggested start date is being pushed out to 6/18/26.

We would like to understand why the Supply Plan is still factoring in resource capacity constraints, despite:

• No material shortages
• No apparent capacity limitations for the resources involved
• No constraints impacting the components used to manufacture the finished good

Our expectation is that, given both material and resource availability, the plan should recommend an earlier start date.
