Aging and Tracking GL accruals
Some of our functional leads have inquired about a method to track and age manual journal accruals. Currently, we have a variety of accruals that are booked directly to the GL (which automatically reverse in the subsequent period) and then may be rebooked in the next period. This continues on until the accrual is not needed.
Their request is that they want to be able to do the following:
- Age the accrual from the original accrual date
- Have a listing of the outstanding accruals (with their age)
Just wondering if there is some feature or method anyone has derived that would be useful or similar to the above.
