Multifield Barcode Quantity Behavior in Oracle Cloud WMS

A multifield barcode can be configured to capture multiple data elements in a single scan, such as Item, LPN, Batch, and Quantity. This helps reduce manual entry and improves scan efficiency in warehouse operations.

However, in the current situation, when a multifield barcode containing Item, LPN, Batch, and Qty is scanned on the Putaway, Cycle Count, and Picking screens, the Quantity value from the barcode is not honored by the application.

Observed Behavior

When the user scans a multifield barcode that includes the following fields:

• Item
• LPN
• Batch
• Quantity

the system successfully recognizes and populates scan-capable fields such as Item
