redesign Oracle COA/financials configuration without impacting HCM processes
Currently, Oracle Fusion HCM and Financials are implemented for our company; however, the Financials footprint is very limited and is primarily being used only for Source to Pay and Employee Expense
The existing Chart of Accounts (COA) has been identified as redundant, overly complex, and not scalable to support future business needs including global reporting,
Given the limited current usage of Financials, can we reconfigure or re‑implement the Fusion Financials setup, including redesigning the Chart of Accounts and, if required, introducing a new Ledger, without disrupting existing HCM processes Modules on same instance ?
Context- currently HCM is fully implemented and around 35K + employees are tagged to various entities. In our re-design exercise, COA design might change including the primary balancing segment and secondary balancing segment and also some primary ledgers needs to be re-created with different currency or calendar. Is there a possibility to achieve this in same instance without much impact to HCM processes ?
