Los Angeles Citywide Hotel Worker Minimum Wage Ordinance Health Benefit Rate

I am hoping there may be another customer who is looking into how to implement this new LA city ordinance before July 1, 2026. It is specific to hotel employers, but open to any ideas!

In accordance with Los Angeles Municipal Code (LAMC) Section 186.04, as of July 1, 2026, Hotel Employers are required to pay a health benefit rate of $8.15 per hour for the provision of health care benefits for a Hotel Worker and their dependents. If no health benefits are provided, the $8.15 shall be provided as an additional hourly wage.  If the Hotel Employer’s hourly health benefit payment is less than $8.15, the difference shall be paid to the Hotel Worker as an additional hourly wage.
