Confirmation on Expected Behavior in Manage Shipment Lines

I would like to confirm if the following behavior in Manage Shipment Lines (MSL) is expected.

Scenario:

• A Work Order (WO) is processed on the Manufacturing side and split into multiple line items due to a large quantity.
• During partial processing of the WO, the remaining quantity becomes backordered and is reflected in MSL under a specific line item (Line 12345678).
• After processing the remaining quantity of the WO, the previously backordered line item (Line 12345678) disappears from MSL.

We observed that the total number of split lines for the specific WO is still reflected in MSL. However, instead of Line 12345678 being updated from
