Is there any error warning when creating asset with negative cost?

We found that it is possible to create asset with negative cost, we are wondering if there is a way to prevent this or have an error warning whenever user is creating a standalone asset with a negative cost? We do not have any scenario where creation of asset with negative cost is needed and would like to prevent this transaction from being created.
