Buyer Reassignment for Approved Purchase Requisitions–Real-Time Approach Guidance

Requirement Overview -
In our current process, once a PR is approved, the Buyer is assigned based on standard Buyer Assignment Rules. However, we have an additional requirement to override and reassign the Buyer post-approval based on the Item Planner Code maintained at the Item level.

Current Approach -
We have implemented and tested a solution using a scheduled integration, which updates the Buyer in the Process Requisitions page (Both Redwood & Classic UI ) based on the Planner Code. While this works functionally - It adds system load constraints

Expected Behavior -
The business is expecting a real-time solution, where Whenever a requisition is created and approved (from any source such as Manual, Planning, or Inventory), The Buyer should be automatically reassigned immediately based on the
