In Config, Highlight tab when there is a required selection

We have a model that has multiple tabs, under some conditions a field that is on another tab is a mandatory selection. There is no visual indication to the user that there is a required selection or what tab to go to. Is there a way to provide that? They are just sort of left clicking aroud trying to figure out what else is needed so we would like to have some sort of visual indicator.
