Trying to override the accounting date within the accounting hub with formula and acct rule - fail

Summary: We are trying to override the accounting date in accounting attribute dynamically within the accounting hub based on some conditions and defining formulas and accounting rules. But the accounting rule that we created for this purpose is not visible in accounting attribute assignment screen. Anyone tried to override the accounting date within the accounting hub in this way or any other way? Please advise. Thanks
