Is anyone else experiencing issues with Manufacturer Location being required in Redwood Product Management?

I wanted to share the response from SR 4-0002661259 and understand how others are handling this.

In Classic PIM, Manufacturer setup was streamlined and only required the Manufacturer Name.However, in Redwood, Location details are now mandatory for each Manufacturer.

This introduces a few concerns on our side:

• Additional effort for our data integrity team to research and populate location data not previously required
• Potential need to retroactively update existing Manufacturer records
• Increased process complexity compared to Classic

From the SR:

• Location field cannot be hidden via VBCS, unlike other fields
