Managing User-Defined Attributes (UDA) for Accurate Period-Specific Financial Disclosures

Summary:

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to retrieve data based on the control method, such as subsidiary, joint venture, or associate. To achieve this, we introduced a User-Defined Attribute (UDA) for the entities and wrote a rule to retrieve data based on the UDA for the disclosure reports.

However, one company has now changed its status from an associate to a subsidiary. When we update the UDA to "subsidiary," the data from prior periods is also aggregated as subsidiary data, whereas it should remain classified as associate data for those prior periods.

Is it possible to address this requirement so that the disclosure notes retrieve data based on the intercompany method, reflecting the correct classification for each period?

Howdy, Stranger!
