Destination Type = Inventory Allows Requisition Using a Location Without an Associated Inventory Org

Summary:

Hi Oracle Community,

We would like to understand the expected behavior of inventory destination requisitions when the deliver-to location is not associated with an inventory organization.

We have reproduced the following scenario:

Setup

• Location A is associated with Inventory Organization A.
• Location B is associated with Inventory Organization B.
• Location C is not associated with any Inventory Organization.

An inventory item was created and assigned only to Inventory Organization A.

Scenario 1

A requester creates a requisition with the following details:

• Destination Type = Inventory
• Deliver-to Location (defaulted from user preferences) = Location B

Result:

• The requester is unable to find the inventory item
