Disabling Synchronize from Position in create/edit Job offer

We are transitioning from the Responsive UI to the Redwood UI for the Create/Edit Job Offer process. During testing, we observed that some fields in the Position Override section are grayed out. A note is displayed stating: "The attribute switch is disabled when position synchronization is enabled. Set it to off to retain the assignment value, or on to synchronize from the position."

Question:
1. Is there a way to disable position synchronization so that all fields remain editable?
2. If disabling is not possible, is there an option to enable position synchronization while ensuring that the fields are not grayed out?
