Payslip XML returns INPUT_VALUE_5 (Rate) as -1 but Rate is null in element entry page

Summary:

We have created a Legacy element entry for a person through HDL with Input values for Original start date, Original end date, Multiple, Amount.

All the values are reflecting correctly in the payslip. But the rate column is fetching negative value(Please refer the below payslip image).

The logic behind rate column is RATE = INPUT_VALUE_5* INPUT_VALUE_6

In payslip xml (Please refer the below Payslip xml image) its showing INPUT_VALUE_5 (Rate) as -1. We are loading amount directly and we aren't loading anything on Rate input value in HDL . We have reviewed the element configuration and payroll calculation for this scenario and we don't see any backend logic present for Rate.
