OTBI Catalog - Application roles Not found on permissions screen

Summary:

We are trying to secure certain catalog folders to only be visible for Incentive Compensation Analyst, but that role is not available in the Application roles on permissions screen. First we go to the catalog folder, and click on permissions. Then we click on Add to add a new role/user permission, and try searching for Incentive Compensation Analyst in the application roles, but nothing is returned. We tried a bunch of other random roles, but again nothing is ever found. Why won't they show up?
